Southern fried green tomatoes

\N \N Green tomatoes
\N \N Vegetable oil or margarine
\N \N Flour; cornmeal or Italian
\N \N ; seasoned bread
\N \N ; crumbs
\N \N Egg batter
\N \N Salt and pepper; (to taste)
\N \N Herbs; (optional)
\N \N Parmesan cheese

Slice green tomatoes ⅛" to ¼" thick, dip in egg mixture and dredge in flour, corn meal or preferably, Italian seasoned bread crumbs. Fry in vegetable oil or margarine till brown on both sides. Drain on paper towels.

Sprinkle with salt, pepper, herbs and Parmesan cheese. Excellent! Enjoy!
