Savoury tomato tartlets (aunt b's)

Ingredients

Short crust pastry
½poundsTomatoes
2Dessertspoonfuls water
Salt and pepper
Half onion
ounceGrated cheese

Directions

Line tins with pastry and set aside.Peel and quarter the tomatoes,put into pan with the water and boil gently for 5 minutes.Season with salt and pepper,add the finely chopped onion and pour into the pastry cases.Sprinkle thickly with the grated cheese and bake in a hot oven for 20 minutes or until pastry is cooked.
