Pork steaks & corn dressing

Yield: 6 Servings

Measure Ingredient
3 Pork blade steaks,cut 1/2"
1 teaspoon Salt
1 Onion,medium-size,chopped
1 can Corn,cream-style(16oz)
1 tablespoon Lard
⅛ teaspoon Pepper
6 cups Bread cubes,dry
1 teaspoon Sage

1. Brown steaks on both sides in lard; remove from pan and season with ½ teaspoon salt and the pepper. 2. Add onion to pan drippings; brown lightly. 3. Add bread cubes and corn to onion; sprinkle with sage and remaining salt. Mix to combine.

4. Place stuffing in a 13x9-inch roasting pan or baking dish; place steaks on top of stuffing.

5. Cover tightly with foil; bake in preheated 325'F. oven 1 hour, or until meat is done.

6. Sprinkle with paprika.

NOTE: To obtain 6 cup dry bread cubes, heat 7 cups fresh bread cubes in preheated 325'F. oven 10 minutes.
