Pliny's pear butter

Ingredients

| 12 | Pears, peeled, cored, and | |

| 2 | cups | Sweet wine |
| 2 | cups | Water |
| 3 | ounces | Honey |
Directions
1) Combine all ingredients in a saucepan, bring to a boil, and simmer for 30 minutes to 1 hour, until all the liquid has disappeared.
2) Let cool, and transfer into a jar. Add a little more honey if you desire a sweeter taste.
