1cupChopped onions
3Cloves garlic, minced

1tablespoonCurry powder
1Stick (whole) cinnamon
1teaspoonMinced gingerroot
½teaspoon(ground) cardamom
teaspoonCumin (ground)
teaspoonCoriander (ground)
¼teaspoonCayenne pepper
1teaspoonSalt
2(16 oz.) cans stewed tomatoes
½cupWater
2cupsDiced and peeled potatoes
2cupsFresh or frozen peas

Directions

Saute all spices in butter in a large skillet over medium heat a few minutes. Then add onions, garlic and ground meat and continue to stir mixture until slightly browned. Then add the stewed tomatoes, water and potatoes. Cover and simmer for 25 minutes over medium low temperature. Add frozen peas last, and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes.

Serve over rice, and sprinkle top with a handful of peanuts and fresh cilantro leaves, just before serving it.
