Original sin chili - southern

Measure Ingredient
2 quarts Beef stock
1 pack Onion soup mix
2 pounds Ground beef
2 pounds Steak, cut 1/2\" square
½ cup Dried onions
2 \N Celery ribs, chopped
1 \N Green peppers, chopped
1 \N Pickled banana peppers
¼ cup Banana pepper juice
1 teaspoon Chopped garlic
1 \N Bay leaf
2 ounces Chili powder
2 teaspoons Cumin
1 teaspoon Oregano
1 teaspoon Onion powder
1 teaspoon Paprika
1 teaspoon Instant beef boullion
1 teaspoon Salt
¼ cup Bbq. sauce
¼ cup Ketchup
1 pinch Crushed red pepper
1 pinch Basil
1 pinch Thyme
½ teaspoon Black pepper
¼ cup Tabasco

Peppers should be mild banana peppers, seeded and chopped. Brown both the ground beef and beef cubes. Drain most of the fat. Combine all ingredients in a large pot. Simmer for 2 hours. Correct seasonings and simmer for 1 more hour. Lisa Hlavaty *P FDGN81A 1/22/92 7:37pm
