| 3 | Navel oranges; scrubbed | |
| ½ | cup | Crushed red pepper flakes |
| 2 | cups | Peanut oil |
| ¼ | cup | Roasted sesame oil |
Directions
Using a vegetable peeler, remove just the orange part of the orange peel.
Place it in a nonaluminum saucepan with the remaining ingredients. Bring to a simmer over medium heat and simmer gently for 15 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand, undisturbed, until cool. Strain through a coffee filter into a clean bottle.
Yield: about 1 pint
