Ingredients

| 1 | cup | Sour milk; buttermilk, OR |
| Milk & 1 T Lemon Juice | ||
| ¼ | teaspoon | Baking soda |
| ½ | cup | Butter; softened |
| 1 | cup | Sugar |
| 4 | Eggs; divided | |
| 4 | cups | Flour |
| 1 | teaspoon | Salt |
| 4 | teaspoons | Baking powder |
| 1 | cup | Raisins |
Directions
1) Preheat oven to 500 deg. Grease and flour 1 full size cookie sheet or 2 13x9 pans.
2) Place baking soda in milk. Set aside.
3) Sift flour, salt & baking powder. Set aside.
4) Separate 2 eggs, save yolks. 5) Mix softened butter, sugar, 2 eggs and 2 egg whites in a bowl.
6) Add milk/baking soda and raisins to butter/sugar/egg mix.
7) Hand mix flour mix into wet ingredients.
8) Spread dough onto cookie sheet or pans ½" thick.
9) Beat 2 remaining egg yolks. Hand spread yolks over top of dough.
10) Sprinkle granulated sugar or cinnamon sugar over the dough & yolk.
11) Bake for 8 or 9 minutes, until golden brown.
