Nut shortbread

Yield: 1 Servings

Measure Ingredient
½ cup Softened butter
1¼ cup Flour
\N \N Beaten egg white
¼ cup Sugar
½ cup Crushed walnuts

Cream butter and sugar together until light. Add flour, mixing thoroughly with a heavy or wooden spoon. Spread or pat into a 9-inch square pan, lined with waxed paper. Bake at 325 degrees for 20 minutes until lightly browned.

(Let cool in pan.) With pastry brush, lightly brush egg white over top.

Sprinkle crushed nuts over egg white. Cut into squares. Yield: 16.
