Meringue pear

Measure Ingredient
1 Pear; peeled, cored,
; poached in red wine
1 tablespoon Finely chopped hazelnuts
2 Egg whites
4 tablespoons Caster sugar

Preheat the oven to 220c/425f.

1 Whisk the egg whites with 1 tbsp sugar until stiff. Gradually add the remaining sugar until shiny.

2 Place the pear in a small ovenproof or gratin dish, then spoon over the meringue mixture. Transfer to the oven and bake until golden.
