Manhattan style clam chowder

Ingredients

¼poundsDiced bacon; fried & drained
1largeOnion; diced
2Carrots; thinly sliced
3Celery with leaves; thinly sliced
1tablespoonFresh parsley (or dried)
1largeCan tomatoes, broken up; with juice
teaspoonSalt
Black pepper
1Leaf
1teaspoonThyme
3Potatoes; diced
2Or 3 cans clams with juice

Directions

Put all ingredients in crock pot. Stir to blend. Cover and cook on high for 1 hour, then on low for 8 hours. Serves 4.
