Linsensuppe (lentil soup)

1cupLentils; (washed)
6cupsWater; (approximately)
3Beef bouillon cubes
1Clove garlic; (chopped fine)
1Carrot; (diced)
1Celery stalk; (diced)
1tablespoonParsley; (chopped)
3largesPotatoes
2tablespoonsVinegar
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

Add the water to the washed lentils and bring to a boil. Add boullion cubes, garlic, celery, carrot, parsley and simmer for about 1½ hours.

Add potatoes and boil for addional 30 minutes. Add vinegar; salt and pepper to taste.
