Lamb or turkey gyros

Measure Ingredient
1 pounds Ground lamb or ground turkey
2 \N Cloves garlic, crushed
1½ \N Trsp dried oregano leaves, crushed
1 teaspoon Onion powder
1 teaspoon Salt
¾ teaspoon Pepper
1 large Tomato cut in half and then slices
1 small Onion thinly sliced
4 \N Whole pita pocket breads cut in half and warmed

In bowl combine lamb, spices and mix well shape into two oval ½" thick patties. Place patties on rack in broiler and broil till no longer pink 8-10 minutes..turn once.
