Italian sausage stew

Ingredients

2poundsItalian sausage; cut in 1 inch Piece
1largeOnion; sliced
4Carrots; cleaned and cubed
4mediumsPotatoes; cut in
1Inch cubes
1canPeas; (10 oz.) don't drain
1canTomato sauce; (8 oz.)
Salt and pepper to taste

Directions

In a large pot, brown sausage on all sides. Remove sausage from pot. In sausage drippings, saute onions until partially cooked. Add potatoes, carrots and tomato sauce. Simmer for 15 minutes, then add sausage and season to taste. Cook with cover tilted until vegetables and sausage are done. Add can of peas and juice; cook until peas are hot. Great on cold winter days. Serves 4.
