Hungarian stuffed green peppers

Ingredients

3Very large green peppers; or 6 medium
1Onion; chopped
1poundsGround pork; or mild pork sausage
1teaspoonSalt
cupCooked rice
1teaspoonPaprika
1Egg; slightly beaten
8ouncesTomato sauce

Directions

Remove stem and seeds from peppers. Brown onion and ground pork until not pink. Drain fat. Remove from heat. Add salt, rice, paprika and egg. Lightly fill peppers. Arrange in baking dish and pour on tomato sauce. Bake in 375 F. oven for 1 hour. Can par-boil peppers in Micro. for 3-4 minutes before filling and do final cooking in Microwave for 20-25 minutes.
