Yield: 6 Servings
Measure | Ingredient |
---|---|
½ cup | Sweet and tangy steak sauce |
¼ cup | Lime juice |
1 \N | Boneless beef sirloin steak,, (1- 1/2 pounds) |
1 medium | Onion,, thinly sliced |
1 tablespoon | Olive oil |
2 \N | Red, yellow or green peppers,, cut into strips |
½ teaspoon | Coarsely ground pepper |
6 \N | Flour tortilla, warmed |
In a small nonmetal bowl, combine steak sauce and lime juice. Use ¼ cup steak sauce mixture to marinate steak for about 1 hour in refrigerator.
Reserve remaining steak sauce mixture. Place onions and peppers in a foil broiler pan (11-3/4x8-1/2x1-¼ inches). Toss with ¼ cup steak sauce mixture, oil and black pepper. Cover with second foil broiler pan to form packet. Place on grill over medium heat; cook 15 to 18 minutes or until vegetables are tender. Meanwhile, remove steak from marinade; discard marinade. Grill steak over medium-high heat alongside vegetable packet 8 to 10 minutes per side or until done as desired. Thinly slice steak; add to vegetable mixture. Add remaining steak sauce mixture, tossing to coat well.
Serve warm with flour tortillas. Note: To make broiler pan packet, invert one broiler pan over filled broiler pan, overlapping slightly. Fold top of one short end down to seal; fold bottom of other end to seal. Makes 6 servings.
