Yield: 12 Servings

Measure Ingredient
½ cup Traditional sourdough starter
½ cup Milk
½ cup Sugar
½ cup Flour
⅔ cup Vegetable oil
1 cup Sugar (or a little more)
3 Eggs
2 teaspoons Vanilla
2 cups Friendship starter (up to)
2 cups Flour
1½ teaspoon Cinnamon
¼ teaspoon Nutmeg
1½ teaspoon Baking soda
2 teaspoons Baking powder
½ teaspoon Salt

Date: Wed, 9 Mar 1994 20:32:01 GMT A while ago, someone requested the recipe for this. This recipe comes from the "King Arthur Flour 200th Anniversary Cookbook".

Friendship Starter: Blend well in a glass or ceramic bowl. Cover with plastic and let it work for at least 24 hours.

Friendship Cake: Preheat oven to 350 F. Beat the oil, sugar, eggs and vanilla until light. Add the starter and beat until smooth. Blend the dry ingredients together and then fold into the wet mixture. Pour into a greased Bundt pan and bake for 40-45 min.
