French meat pie^

Ingredients

| 2 | tablespoons | Oil |
| 1 | large | Onion, thinly sliced |
| 1 | pounds | Ground beef |
| 1 | pounds | Ground pork |
| 1 | cup | Mashed potatoes |
| 1 | can | (8oz) veg-all, drained |
| 2 | teaspoons | Allspice |
| 1 | teaspoon | Salt |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Pepper |
| Double crust pie shell | ||
| 1 | Egg, beaten, optional | |
Directions
Saute onion in oil until tender. Remove from pan and set aside. Brown beef and pork; drain. Combine meat, onion and seasonings; mix well.
Pour into pastry lined pie plate; cover with top crust, fluting edges to seal. Make steam vents, brush with egg if de Bakae at 375F. unti crust is golden, 30-35 minutes.
