Emeril's favorite pastrami sanwich

Yield: 1 servings

Measure Ingredient
6.00 ounce sliced pastrami
2.00 tablespoon whole-grain mustard
4.00 ounce beer
3.00 slice onion; rings intact
1.00 tablespoon oil
1 salt; to taste
1 pepper; to taste
2.00 slice rye bread
1 (or thick crusty brown bread)

Preheat a grill. Season onions with salt and pepper and brush with oil. In a small saucepan combine beer and mustard and bring to a boil. Add pastrami and simmer for 3 minutes. Grill onions on both sides and toast bread on a cooler part of the grill. When all ingredients are heated, prepare sandwich. Yield: 1 serving.
