| 18 | Golden delicious apples; cored and quartered | |
| 1½ | cup | Apple cider |
| 2 | Cinnamon sticks | |
| 1 | teaspoon | Ginger |
| ½ | teaspoon | Nutmeg |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Mace |
| 1¼ | cup | Sugar |
| 2 | tablespoons | Lemon juice |
Directions
Place all in pot. Cook for 2½ hours, mashing apples occasionally, until color turns deep brown.
