Corn chowder

Yield: 4 servings

Measure Ingredient
3 slices Salt pork; cubed
1 large Onion; sliced
4 larges Potatoes; sliced
2 cups Water
6 larges Soda crackers
1 cup Milk
2 cups Corn, fresh, canned whole
\N \N Kernal or frozen
1 teaspoon Salt
\N \N Dash paprika

Recipe by: The American Heritage Cookbook - ISBN 0-8281-04-03-4 Fry salt pork in a saucepan until crisp and lightly browned. Stir in onion and cook until golden, then add potatoes and water. Continue cooking until potatoes are tender. Crumble soda crackers into a bowl, pour in milk, and soak. Add to the cooked potatoes, then add corn, salt, and paprika. Simmer over a low heat for 8 to 10 mins. Serves 4.
