Collard greens the new way (hl)

Ingredients

QuantityIngredient
½Bushel collard greens; approximately 5 pounds
½cupVinegar
½cupSugar
2Hot peppers
¼cupOnion powder
¼cupGarlic powder
2tablespoonsBlack pepper
Salt; to taste

Directions

Take greens off stems, tear into small pieces. Wash very well, drain and rinse again. Place all ingredients in a very large pot, cover with water and cook on low for 6 hours. Salt to taste.
