Chow chow (new england)

Quantity Ingredient
18 larges Tomatoes, peeled and chopped fine
1 small Head of green cabbage chopped
2 Green peppers, chopped
1 Red pepper, chopped
1 cup Cider vinegar
1 cup Sugar
2 teaspoons Ground cinnamon
1 teaspoon Ground allspice
1 teaspoon Ground cloves
6 tablespoons Salt
1 large Onion, peeled and chopped

Combine all ingredients. Cover tightly and simmer until vegetables are tender. Spoon into hot sterilized jars; seal. Makes 8 pints.
