Yield: 2 main-cours
|¾ pounds||Ground chicken|
|¼ cup||Chopped fresh basil OR|
|2 tablespoons||Soy sauce|
|2 tablespoons||Fresh time juice|
|2 larges||Garlic cloves, chopped|
|1 large||Jalapeno chili, chopped|
|1 teaspoon||Garlic chili sauce or hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco)|
|1 tablespoon||Oriental sesame oil or vegetable oil|
|Boston lettuce leaves|
|Chopped green onions (opt.)|
|Roasted peanuts (opt.)|
Combine first 8 ingredients in medium bowl and stir to blend well.
(Can be prepared 1 day ahead. Cover and refrigerate.) Heat sesame oil in heavy medium skillet over high heat. Add chicken mix- ture and saute until chicken is just cooked through, breaking up clumps with back of spoon, about 4 minutes. Transfer chicken mixture to plattcr. Arrange lettuce around edges; serve, passing onions and peanuts, if desired.
