Chinese-style chicken in lettuce cups - bon appetit

Yield: 2 main-cours

Measure Ingredient
¾ pounds Ground chicken
¼ cup Chopped fresh basil OR
1 tablespoon Dried
2 tablespoons Soy sauce
2 tablespoons Fresh time juice
2 larges Garlic cloves, chopped
1 large Jalapeno chili, chopped
1 teaspoon Sugar
1 teaspoon Garlic chili sauce or hot pepper sauce (such as Tabasco)
1 tablespoon Oriental sesame oil or vegetable oil
Boston lettuce leaves
Chopped green onions (opt.)
Roasted peanuts (opt.)

Combine first 8 ingredients in medium bowl and stir to blend well.

(Can be prepared 1 day ahead. Cover and refrigerate.) Heat sesame oil in heavy medium skillet over high heat. Add chicken mix- ture and saute until chicken is just cooked through, breaking up clumps with back of spoon, about 4 minutes. Transfer chicken mixture to plattcr. Arrange lettuce around edges; serve, passing onions and peanuts, if desired.
