|6||Chimayo chilies, seeded and stemmed|
|½ medium||Yellow onion, sliced|
|Salt to taste|
Combine all ingredients except salt in a sauce pan and bring to a boil.
Simmer for 10 minutes. Remove from heat and blend until very smooth adding water if necessary. Salt to taste. Strain through fine mesh strainer.
