Chex candy

Quantity | Ingredient | |

9 | cups | Favorite Chex(Rice; Wheat or Corn) |
1 | cup | Semisweet chocolate chips |
½ | cup | Peanut butter |
¼ | cup | Margarine or butter |
1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
1½ | cup | Confectioner's sugar |
Pour cereal into large bowl, set aside, In 1 qt. microwave safe bowl, combine chocolate chips, peanut butter and margarine. Micorwave on high 1 to 1½ minutes or until smooth, stirring after 1 minute. Stir in vanilla.
Pou chocolate mixture over cereal, stirring until all pieces are evenly coated. Pour mixture into large, resealable bag. Add conf. sugar, seal and shake until all pieces are well coated.
Spread on waxed paper to cool.
Makes 9 cups.
NOTES : Great snack for kids. Nice addition to dessert buffet table as a nibble.
