|1 cup||Yellow Cornmeal, Granulated|
|½ cup||Black Molasses|
|¼ cup||Granulated Sugar|
|¼ cup||Lard Or Butter|
|¼ teaspoon||Baking Soda|
|1½ quart||Hot Milk|
Mix ingredients thoroughly with half of the milk and bake in a very hot oven until mixture boils. Then stir in the remaining hot milk and bake in a well-greased stone crock at a low temperature for 5 to 7 hours. Makes ½ gallon.
