Baked indian pudding`

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Yellow Cornmeal, Granulated
½ cup Black Molasses
¼ cup Granulated Sugar
¼ cup Lard Or Butter
¼ teaspoon Salt
¼ teaspoon Baking Soda
2 Eggs
1½ quart Hot Milk

Mix ingredients thoroughly with half of the milk and bake in a very hot oven until mixture boils. Then stir in the remaining hot milk and bake in a well-greased stone crock at a low temperature for 5 to 7 hours. Makes ½ gallon.
