Asparagus salad mold

Ingredients

¾cupSugar
½cupVinegar
1cupWater
½cupCold water
2Envelopes of plain gelatin
1cupChopped celery
2tablespoonsLemon juice
1tablespoonMinced onion
4ouncesJar of pimentos, chopped
1canWhole green asparagus
1teaspoonSalt
5ouncesCan of water chestnuts

Directions

Combine sugar, vinegar, 1 cup of water and salt. Bring to a boil to dissolve sugar. Dissolve gelatin in ½ cup of cold water. Remove boiling mixture; add gelatin, onion and cool. Drain asparagus and cut into bite size pieces. Drain water chestnuts and slice thin.
