1½ cup | All-purpose flour |
⅓ cup | Sugar |
1 teaspoon | Baking powder |
1 teaspoon | Cinnamon |
½ teaspoon | Baking soda |
¼ teaspoon | Salt |
¼ teaspoon | Cloves |
¼ teaspoon | Nutmeg |
1¼ cup | Unsweetened Apple Sauce |
⅓ cup | Oil |
1 teaspoon | Vanilla |
½ cup | Raisins |
½ cup | Chopped nuts |
Heat oven to 350F.
In 8 or 9-inch pan, combine flour, sugar, baking powder, cinnamon, baking soda, salt cloves and nutmeg; blend well.
Stir in apple sauce, oil and vanilla; mix well. Stir in raisins and nuts.
Bake at 350F for 25 to 30 minutes or until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean.
Notes: Pantry: Mott's Natural Apple Sauce. Let the kids lend a hand in measuring and mixing this quick-to-assemble cake. Just mix it in the pan and bake.
