Apple and onion sauce

Ingredients

2mediumsOnions; finely shredded
2smallsApples; finely chopped or sliced
1Bay leaf
4cupsDiced or peeled tomatoes
1pinchSalt
1pinchBlack pepper

Directions

Place oil, onion, apple and bay leaf in a saucepan. Cover and simmer on low heat until apple and onion are dissolved (it takes 45 to 60 minutes).
