Zucchini pickles

2poundsZucchini, thinly sliced
½poundsOnions, thinly sliced
¼cupSalt
2cupsSugar
2cupsCider vinegar
½teaspoonPrepared mustard
2teaspoonsMustard seed
1teaspoonCelery seed
1teaspoonTumeric

Directions

Cover zucchini and onions with water and ¼ cup salt. Soak for 2 hours and drain. Bring remaining ingredients to a boil and pour drained vegetables. Let stand for 2 hours. Boil 5 minutes and jar.
