Ingredients

| 4 | cups | Sifted flour |

| 1 | cup | Sour cream |
| 2 | tablespoons | Sugar |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Salt |
| 1 | teaspoon | Vanilla |
| 2 | tablespoons | Butter |
| ½ | teaspoon | Almond flavoring |
| Yolks -- well beaten | ||
Directions
Beat egg yolks until light. Add to dry ingredients together with sour cream, vanilla, butter and almond flavoring. Knead well. Roll to ⅛ inch thickness. Cut into strips 1 x 3 inches with pastry wheel.
Make a lengthwise slit in center of each strip and pull one end through. Fry in hot deep fat for approximately 2 minutes or until lightly browned. Drain on heavy paper. When cold, sprinkle with confectioners' sugar. Makes 9 dozen. ORIGIN: Galina Teravenskaya, L'Viv, Ukraine circa 1995
