Yield: 6 Servings
|½ cup||Yellow Onions; Chopped|
|4 tablespoons||Butter Or Margarine; Melted|
|¼ cup||All-Purpose Flour|
|¼ teaspoon||Black Pepper; Freshly Ground|
|17 ounces||Whole Kernel Corn; Canned, Drained|
|4 \N||Smoked Sausage Links; Sliced|
|8 ounces||Black Beans; Canned, Drained|
In a saucepan, sauté onion in butter until tender but not brown. Stir in flour, salt and black pepper. Add milk, and bring to a boil, stirring constantly until thick and bubbly, about 1 minute. Stir in drained corn, sausage slices and drained black beans. Reduce the heat and simmer for 10 minutes.
Serving Ideas : With Fresh baked bread NOTES : Just about any smoked meat can be substituted for the Smoked Sausage Links.
