1 large | Rutabaga; peeled and diced |
3 tablespoons | Margarine; divided |
1½ cup | Peeled; sliced apples |
¼ cup | Brown sugar |
⅛ teaspoon | Cinnamon |
⅓ cup | Flour |
⅓ cup | Brown sugar |
Cook, drain and mash rutabaga. Add 1 tablespoon margarine. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
Toss sliced apples with ¼ cup brown sugar and cinnamon. Arrange alternate layers of mashed rutabaga and sliced apples in greased 2 quart casserole, beginning and ending with rutabaga.
Mix together flour, ⅓ cup brown sugar and 2 tablespoons margarine until crumbly. Sprinkle over top of casserole; bake for 1 hour. Serves 6.
