Rugulach

Yield: 1 servings

Measure Ingredient
1 cup Butter
1 cup Cottage cheese
2 cups Flour
¼ cup Butter, melted
\N \N Jam
2 tablespoons Cinnamon
½ cup Brown sugar
¾ cup Raisins
¾ cup Nuts, chopped

Cream butter and cheese. Blend in flour. Chill. Divide dough into quarters and, on a floured board, roll each piece out to approximately ¼" thickness. Spread with melted butter and jam, and sprinkle liberally with mixed cinnamon and brown sugar, raisins, and nuts. Cut into wedges. Starting at wide end, roll each wedge up and shape into a crescent. Dip in a mixture of white sugar and cinnamon before placing on greased cookie sheets. Bake at 400 degrees for 15 minutes until browned. Variations: For turnovers, cut dough into large squares, fill with jam and fold over to make a triangle.
