Rose-flavoured turkish delight

Measure Ingredient
3 \N Envelopes unflavoured gelatin
2 cups Sugar
1 cup Water
½ teaspoon Good rose flavouring
\N \N Red food colouring
1 cup Icing sugar; or more, mixed with
1 cup Corn starch; or more

From: sylvia@... (Sylvia Genders-LeReverend) Date: Tue, 22 Nov 1994 05:09:44 +0000 Bring gelatin, sugar, and water to boil, then simmer for 20 minutes. Add rose flavouring and a few drops of colouring. Strain into buttered pan and chill 24 hours.

Turn out onto slab covered with ½ icing sugar mixed with ½ cornstarch.

Cut into 1' squares, being careful not to let them touch each other (or they stick!). Roll each in sugar mix, and pack in an air-tight tin with remainder of sugar mix.
