Old english cheddar soup

Ingredients

| 2 | smalls | Onions; peeled & diced |
| 3 | mediums | Carrots; peeled & diced |
| 4 | ounces | Bacon; diced |
| 2 | tablespoons | Butter |
| 3 | tablespoons | Flour |
| 4 | cups | Chicken broth |
| ½ | cup | Milk |
| ¼ | cup | Amberg's Sur-Lie Chardonnay |
| 10 | ounces | Heluva Good Sharp Cheddar Cheese |
| Salt; pepper and nutmeg | ||
Directions
Cook bacon in butter until light brown. Add onions and carrots and saute for a few minutes. Stir in flour and cook for 2 minutes, stirring continuously. Add broth, milk and Chardonnay. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add cheese and season to taste.
