Old english cheddar soup

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
2 smalls Onions; peeled & diced
3 mediums Carrots; peeled & diced
4 ounces Bacon; diced
2 tablespoons Butter
3 tablespoons Flour
4 cups Chicken broth
½ cup Milk
¼ cup Amberg's Sur-Lie Chardonnay
10 ounces Heluva Good Sharp Cheddar Cheese
Salt; pepper and nutmeg

Directions

Cook bacon in butter until light brown. Add onions and carrots and saute for a few minutes. Stir in flour and cook for 2 minutes, stirring continuously. Add broth, milk and Chardonnay. Simmer for 10 minutes. Add cheese and season to taste.
