No sugar trifle

Measure Ingredient
¼ cup Cornstarch
¼ teaspoon Salt
1¾ cup Skim milk
2 \N Eggs,beaten
½ pack Lowfat pound cake,cubed
2 tablespoons Unsweetened strawberry jam
1 tablespoon Orange liqueur or orangejuic
1 teaspoon Vanilla
1 teaspoon Grated orange rind
⅔ cup Splenda (artificial sweetner
3 cups Assorted fruits or canned

Directions Mix sweetener cornstarch ,salt in heavy saucepan Stir in milk. Stir over medium heat until boiling Simmer,stirring ,over low heat 2 minutes Gradually stir into eggs Return to saucepan; cook and stir 1 minute Remove from heat, stir in vanilla and orange rind CHILL Cut pound cake in half lengthwise Spread with jam , put layers together ,cut into ½" cubes Place in glass bowl Drizzle with liqueur or orangejuice Arrange fruit on top Spread custard over fruit Refrigerate for at least 1 hour Typed by G.Major 06\\27\\94 Submitted By GEORGINA MAJOR On 08-21-95
