Lentil soup with italian sausage

Ingredients

| ¾ | pounds | Italian sausage, hot -- |

| 2 | cups | Reserved Garlic Lentils | 
| 1 | teaspoon | Cumin | 
| 2 | cups | V-8 vegetable juice | 
| 1½ | cup | Chicken broth | 
Directions
Cook the onion and sausage in a large saucepan over medium high heat until the sausage loses its raw look and the onion has softened, about 4 minutes. Add the reserved lentils and the cumin and stir to combine.  Mix in the V-8 juice and chicken broth.  Simmer for 10 minutes.  Serve hot.
