Italian canoles

Yield: 4 Servings

Measure Ingredient
⅓ cup Olive oil
1½ cup Chopped onion
1 \N Clove garlic; minced
2 cups Tomato sauce
1 teaspoon Basil
1½ cup Water
2 tablespoons Chopped parsley
1 tablespoon Sugar
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Oregano
¼ teaspoon Pepper
1½ pounds Italian sausage; browned
1 pounds Mozzarella cheese; cubed
\N \N Pizza dough (frozen bread dough)


Saute onion and garlic in oil. Pour rest of ingredients in together. Add water; bring to a boil and simmer 2 hours.

Flatten out balls of thawed bread dough; fill with meat and cubed cheese.

Seal edges; bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Serve with Italian sauce.
