Italian canoles

Ingredients

| ⅓ | cup | Olive oil |
| 1½ | cup | Chopped onion |
| 1 | Clove garlic; minced | |
| 2 | cups | Tomato sauce |
| 1 | teaspoon | Basil |
| 1½ | cup | Water |
| 2 | tablespoons | Chopped parsley |
| 1 | tablespoon | Sugar |
| 1 | teaspoon | Salt |
| 1 | teaspoon | Oregano |
| ¼ | teaspoon | Pepper |
| 1½ | pounds | Italian sausage; browned |
| 1 | pounds | Mozzarella cheese; cubed |
| Pizza dough (frozen bread dough) | ||
Directions
CANOLES
Saute onion and garlic in oil. Pour rest of ingredients in together. Add water; bring to a boil and simmer 2 hours.
Flatten out balls of thawed bread dough; fill with meat and cubed cheese.
Seal edges; bake at 350 degrees for 20 minutes. Serve with Italian sauce.
