Hungarian cabbage puffs

Measure Ingredient
8 larges Cabbage leaves
1 each Egg
½ pounds Ground beef
1 cup Cooked rice
1 teaspoon Salt
\N \N Few grains of nutmeg
¼ teaspoon Pepper
¼ cup Chopped onion

INGREDIENTS

DIRECTIONS

Cook cabbage leaves in saucepan in salted water for 5 minutes. Drain.

Combine ground beef, egg, rice, salt, pepper, onion and nutmeg in mixing bowl. Shape meat mixture into balls and wrap each ball in a cabbage leaf. Fasten each with a wooden toothpick. Place the cabbage rolls in a sauce made of 1 cup of cooked tomatoes, ¼ cup of chopped onion, ¼ cup margarine, ¾ tsp salt and ¼ tsp pepper. Cover and simmer for 45 minutes.
