Ingredients

3 mediums Potatoes; up to 4 peeled and thinly sliced
2 cups 18% cream; or milk
2 Eggs
2 ounces Emmenthal cheese; up to 3 oz grated

Directions

The accompanying dish to Roast Herbed Lamb from Lisette Dionne, the mother-in-law of Jean Charest (A conservative leadership candidate who may be Canada's next prime minister).

Make two layers of potato slices in a greased casserole, sprinkling cheese, salt, pepper and freshly grated nutmeg on each layer. Whisk cream and eggs together and pour over potatoes. Bake in preheated 350F oven 1 hour or til potatoes are tender.
