Flemish carbonades

Yield: 1 Servings

Measure Ingredient
2 pounds Beef chuck cut into 1 inch cubes; (up to 3)
1 \N Onion thinly sliced; (I used 2)
1 teaspoon Salt
1 dash Pepper
2 teaspoons Brown sugar
1 \N Clove garlic; minced, (I used 2:)
1 can (12 oz) beer (I used Becks)
2 slices Bacon; cooked and crumbled, (I used 4, it was pretty thin:))
3 tablespoons Cornstarch
¼ cup Water
\N \N Cooked noodles

In crockpot combine meat, onion, salt, pepper, br sugar, garlic, beer and bacon. Cook on low for 5 to 7 hours. Turn control to high. Dissolve cornstarch in water and stir into meat mixture. Cook on high for 20 to 30 min til slightly thickened. Serve over noodles.
