Basic bannock/scone mixture

Yield: 6 Servings

Measure Ingredient
4 cups All purpose flour
2 tablespoons Baking powder
1 teaspoon Salt
1 teaspoon Sugar
2 tablespoons Butter; cut in 6 pieces
5½ to 6 cups mixture.Scone recipe under separate post.

In a food processor with steel blade,combine flour,baking powder,salt and sugar for 3 to 4 seconds.Add butter and process to consistency of fine breadcrumbs.Alternately,cut butter into dry ingredients with pastry blender or rub in with fingers.Store in airtight container in cool,dry place.Makes Irwin Solomon
