Tomato and fennel sauce

Ingredients

Quantity Ingredient
cup Prepared spaghetti sauce
3 Plum tomatoes seeded, chopped (1 cup)
1 cup Fennel, thinly sliced 1/2 a small bulb
1 teaspoon Fennel seeds, crushed
Salt and pepper

Directions

Combine spaghetti sauce, tomatoes, sliced fennel and fennel seeds in saucepan. Bring to a simmer, reduce heat to low and cook, stirring occasionally, until fresh fennel is tender, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. SErve over cooked pasta.
