Tomato and fennel sauce

| 1½ | cup | Prepared spaghetti sauce |
| 3 | Plum tomatoes seeded, chopped (1 cup) | |
| 1 | cup | Fennel, thinly sliced 1/2 a small bulb |
| 1 | teaspoon | Fennel seeds, crushed |
| Salt and pepper | ||
Directions
Combine spaghetti sauce, tomatoes, sliced fennel and fennel seeds in saucepan. Bring to a simmer, reduce heat to low and cook, stirring occasionally, until fresh fennel is tender, about 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper to taste. SErve over cooked pasta.
