Sweet and tangy cornish hens

Ingredients

2Cornish game hens, halved
2tablespoonsMargarine or butter
Salt and pepper
½cupMaple syrup
¼cupLemon juice
2tablespoonsPrepared mustard
2teaspoonsSoy sauce
1cupCrushed pineapple juice, drained

Directions

Heat oven to 350F. In 13x9-inch pan, arrange hens, skin-side up. Brush with melted margarine; season with salt and pepper. Bake uncovered at 350F for 30 minutes.

In small bowl, combine syrup, lemon juice, mustard, soy sauce, and pineapple; spoon over hens. Return to oven for 30 minutes or until well browned and tender, basting occasionally.
