Seafood stew (yosenabe)

1poundsSea bass; cubed
1Piece dried kelp
¼cupSoy sauce
2tablespoonsMirin (sweet rice wine)
12Shrimp
1Fish cake; cut into cubes
1poundsFresh mushrooms
2Heads lettuce
1Tofu cake; cubed

Directions

Steam clams. Save broth and add water to make one quart of liquid. Pour into large pot, add all ingredients. Boil gently until lightly cooked.
