Salsa verde (green chili sauce)

1canChopped green chilies; (4 oz.)
¾teaspoonSalt
1tablespoonButter or bacon fat
1canStewed tomatoes; chopped, (16 oz.)
1Clove garlic; crushed
1dashGround cumin
2 cups.

Directions

Saute onion in butter in medium saucepan until tender, about 3 minutes.
