Portuguese kale soup

Yield: 1 Servings

Measure Ingredient
2 pounds Kale deveined and coarsely chopped
½ pounds Chourico {preferably Portuguse but can use Spanish}
1 can (14 oz) kidney beans
¼ cup Salt pork, diced
1 cup Potatoes, cubed
1 medium Onion, diced
1 teaspoon Salt
½ teaspoon Black pepper
6 cups Water

Saute salt pork and onions.Drain fat. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to boil and simmer covered for 1 hour. Smash some of the potatoes to thicken soup
