Portuguese kale soup

Ingredients

| 2 | pounds | Kale deveined and coarsely chopped |
| ½ | pounds | Chourico {preferably Portuguse but can use Spanish} |
| 1 | can | (14 oz) kidney beans |
| ¼ | cup | Salt pork, diced |
| 1 | cup | Potatoes, cubed |
| 1 | medium | Onion, diced |
| 1 | teaspoon | Salt |
| ½ | teaspoon | Black pepper |
| 6 | cups | Water |
Directions
Saute salt pork and onions.Drain fat. Add remaining ingredients. Bring to boil and simmer covered for 1 hour. Smash some of the potatoes to thicken soup
