1 | teaspoon | Green peppercorns; rinsed OR |

8 | Lean pork steaks or medallions | |
A little oil | ||
1 | Thick bread slices | |
Garlic cloves; cut in 1/2 |
Directions
1. Combine pear halves, peeled tomatoes, chopped onion, peppercorns or cayenne pepper together in saucepan.
2. Cook over high heat for 10 minutes. Place in food processor, blend coarsely, to create a relish. Heat a little oil in a heavy plain or ribbed pan, until hot.
3. Cook pork, 2 to 3 minutes on each side, brushing with some relish.
4. Serve as illustrated on oil-brushed pan-fried thick bread slices, rubbed with garlic.
